Mathieson grew up consuming comedy like it had actual nutritional value. He couldn’t help but try and make anyone and everyone laugh. This was mostly a coping mechanism. Waiting til he and this skill ripened to the perfect age of just-past-30-years-old he made the switch from consumer and awkward-Chandler-like-funny-guy to becoming a maker of real deal comedy. He loves improv and the spirit of discovery and shared presence with an audience. He’s played in a couple of festivals. He’s dabbled in sketch and standup. He will be doing this until he dies – or finds a convincing quote by some philosopher like Nietszche that denies the existence of meaning in humour.
