Becky Johnson has been improvising for over twenty years. She has worked with and been a member of many companies during that time, most notably Iron Cobra (with Graham Wagner) and The Sufferettes (with Kayla Lorette). Becky has been touring her work internationally for over a decade visiting such far-flung locales as Paris, London, Ljubljana, Berlin, Edmonton, Atlanta, Vienna, Munich, Minneapolis, Providence and Rochester to name a few. In her home town of Toronto, she is a co-producer and featured performer at the weekly Catch23 Improv at Comedy Bar and developed and directs the Wayward series of all-female serialized improv shows (in partnership with Bad Dog Theatre). In scripted theatre, Becky recently finished a tour of Ontario in Daniel MacIvor’s ‘A Beautiful View’ (Directed by Ross Manson for Volcano/BeMe Theatre) and played the role of Mrs. Sing in the inaugural production of Sheila Heti’s ‘All Our Happy Days Are Stupid’ (Directed by Jordan Tannahill for Suburban Beast). On screen, you can currently catch her playing three successively degenerating clones in Space Riders: Division Earth on CTV.ca.
